Clotrimazole cream is used to treat fungal skin infections such as ringworm, athlete’s foot, fungal nappy rash and fungal sweat rash. It is also used to relieve irritation on the vulva or penis as a result of thrush.
Ensure the skin is clean and dry prior to application. Apply thinly and evenly to the affected area(s) two to three times daily. Do not rub in. Wash hands before and after use.
Warnings or Restrictions
• This product contains cetostearyl alcohol which may cause local skin irritation (e.g. rash, itching or redness).
• Do not use on broken skin.
• For external use only, if this cream is swallowed accidently, please seek medical advice immediately.
• As with other creams, this product may reduce the effectiveness of rubber contraceptives, such as condoms or diaphragms. As a result, if you are using this cream on the vulva or penis, please use alternative precautions for at least five days after using this product.
